A new proposal has surfaced suggesting AREA15, the immersive entertainment complex situated off Interstate 15, as a potential site for a future NBA arena in Las Vegas. The Fisher brothers, who own AREA15, are proposing a plan for a multibillion-dollar arena, which could be complemented by a resort and retail district in the vicinity.
Winston Fisher, the CEO of AREA15, emphasized the strategic advantages of the location, saying it is a well-prepared blank canvas with the necessary infrastructure, tax incentives, and city backing. Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley supports the initiative, advocating that any franchise should consider AREA15’s prime access and development potential. However, experts caution that several contenders are vying for attention, highlighting essential criteria such as accessibility and proximity to key areas as critical for an NBA venue.
