The Boring Company is actively expanding its Vegas Loop, an underground transit system in Las Vegas, with construction crews developing new stops and exploring additional routes. The company is pushing to have these ready in time for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix scheduled for November 19-21.
A new station is being constructed near the UNLV campus, opposite the Thomas & Mack Center, and plans are to connect it with prominent resorts such as the Westgate and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Approved by the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents in June, The Boring Company is covering construction costs. Although the goal was to finish the new stops before the upcoming race, no specific opening date has been provided, and inquiries to involved authorities yielded no updates. Current users praise the convenient transit options, noting low fares and quick travel times, adding to the appeal of the system.
