North Las Vegas is set to welcome numerous new residents, prompting city officials to advance plans for housing, recreational areas, technological infrastructure, and healthcare projects to meet growing demands. Proposals in progress include the construction of 1,500 homes located near Losee Road and the 215 Beltway, as well as a mixed-use sports hub named Hylo Park and a potential data center by Switch.
Currently, the city houses slightly fewer than 300,000 individuals, but projections indicate growth to approximately 400,000 in the coming decades. Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown highlighted the necessity for further city developments, stating, “We are going to need more things here in the city.” Efforts are also underway to revitalize the downtown area and establish a possible hospital campus for improved local healthcare access.
