Women living in the Las Vegas Valley have the opportunity this week to participate in vital health screenings. The Mammovan, a mobile mammography unit operated by Nevada Health Centers, will be stationed at two local venues as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aiming to make important screenings more accessible and affordable.
The first location will be Ellis Island Casino and Hotel on Koval Lane on Wednesday, October 21, followed by Westgate Resorts on Paradise Road two days later, on Friday, October 23. Both locations will be open from 7:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. It is advisable to call 877-581-6266, option 1, to reserve a time slot, ensuring a fit with individual schedules.
Primarily targeting women aged 40 and older, younger women may also be eligible for screenings with a health care provider’s referral. Nevada Health Centers accommodates various insurance plans and provides services regardless of financial status, supporting its mission to broaden health care access in Nevada.
