Las Vegas Individual Faces Charges for Allegedly Soliciting Explicit Content from Minor

A 24-year-old man from Las Vegas, Al Carter, has been charged in federal court with soliciting explicit content from a minor, following his arrest on Wednesday. The allegations include coercion and enticement of a 13-year-old girl residing in Hawaii to produce and send sexually explicit videos via the internet.

According to an unsealed criminal complaint, Carter reportedly threatened the victim by stating that he would publicize videos of her that he already possessed if she failed to comply. The FBI is currently investigating this matter. Carter’s detention hearing is set for Tuesday, and if found guilty, he could face a life sentence along with substantial fines and supervised release. This case is part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative aimed at tackling child exploitation and abuse.
