Seven Women in One Race: ARCA West Set for Historic Phoenix Weekend

A remarkable weekend is approaching for the ARCA Menards Series West at Phoenix Raceway, as the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100 will feature a record number of female drivers in the lineup. While seven women were initially on the entry list, Isabella Robusto has since withdrawn, leaving six to compete, surpassing the previous record of five women set in 2021 and matched earlier this season.

The participating drivers include Hailie Deegan, Jade Avedisian, Taylor Reimer, Mia Lovell, Dystany Spurlock, and Quinn Davis. Avedisian has qualified second, closely followed by Reimer in third and Lovell in fifth, setting them up as strong contenders for the race. Deegan, a seasoned competitor with four career wins in the series, aims to capitalize on her experience, while Spurlock’s presence highlights an important milestone as she became the first Black woman to compete in ARCA’s platforms.

The Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100 is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at 11 p.m. ET, and will be streamed live on FloRacing, marking a pivotal moment for women in motorsports.
