Metro Police Hunt Fleeing White Honda Accord After 55-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed on West Sahara Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV — Detectives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), specifically the collision reconstruction team, are requesting assistance from the public in locating a white 2021 Honda Accord that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident on West Sahara Avenue. This tragic event claimed the life of a 55-year-old male pedestrian.

The incident occurred just east of South Valley View Boulevard. Emergency responders from the Clark County Fire Department arrived shortly after 911 calls were made but unfortunately declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene due to severe blunt-force trauma. The driver of the Honda Accord fled the scene eastbound on Sahara Avenue instead of providing aid.

Evidence, including surveillance footage and debris recovered at the scene, suggests that the Honda Accord sustained significant front-end damage. Investigators are actively reaching out to auto repair shops and recyclers to find the vehicle. Anyone with potential leads, including dashcam footage from the time of the incident, is encouraged to contact the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section or Crime Stoppers of Nevada.
